The gas crisis has intensified in the capital and elsewhere in the country, with long queues of vehicles forming at CNG filling stations on Monday morning.

At several stations, drivers were seen waiting for hours for gas, causing severe inconvenience to passengers and vehicle owners.

Low gas pressure has slowed the refuelling process at many stations, while some have been forced to suspend sales.

CNG and ride-sharing drivers said the shortage has reduced their earnings as they are unable to operate their vehicles regularly. Station owners said they were unable to meet demand because of inadequate gas supply.
