Several low-lying areas in Dighinala have been flooded for the third time in one month due to rains and hills run-off.

Merung, Kabakhali, and Boalkhali UP areas have been affected due to the heavy rainfall since last Friday night.

The Bacha Merung steel bridge and the adjacent road have been inundated, making movement on the Dighinala Longadu road impossible for now. People complained about transportation difficulties due to heavy rainfall in the upstream.

People of 20 families in Kabakhali Union have been forced to take shelter at Pablakhali Government Primary School, as water has entered into their houses. The UP is providing them food.

Dighinala UNO Tanzil Parvez informed that low-lying areas have been flooded due to heavy rains and hills run-off. The local people said the recurrent floods have disturbed their routine life and road communication.
