Police return 51 lost phones to owners

Rangamati district police have recovered 51 lost mobile phones from different parts of the country with the help of information technology and handed them over to their rightful owners.

The phones were handed over at a programme held at the conference room of the Rangamati Superintendent of Police's office on Wednesday (November 5). Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdur Rakib, PPM, presided over the event.

According to police, the Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell of Rangamati District Police identified and recovered the phones from different parts of the country using information technology after they had been reported lost in various areas of the district.

The owners expressed satisfaction after getting their phones back after a long time. They also thanked the superintendent of police and other members of the district police.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Md Iqbal Hossain, PPM; Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Md Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, PPM; Officer-in-Charge of the District Detective Branch HM Mahmud; and members of the Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell were also present.

Rangamati District Police said, they remained committed to strengthening technology-based policing while continuing their dedication to public service.
