NSTU VC meets President

Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Golam Rabbani on Monday paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban.

During the meeting, the NSTU vice-chancellor conveyed the university’s warm congratulations and greetings to the newly elected president. He also wished the president good health, long life and success in his new role, according to a press release.

Prof Rabbani briefed the president on the university’s academic activities, research initiatives and overall development. They also discussed NSTU’s contribution to the advancement of higher education and research in Bangladesh, its ongoing programmes and future development plans.

During the meeting, the vice-chancellor invited President Mirza Fakhrul to attend the university’s third convocation, scheduled to be held on January 24, 2027.

The president accepted the invitation and expressed his consent to attend the convocation.

The NSTU community welcomed the president’s decision, describing it as a matter of pride and joy for the university. Professor Rabbani expressed hope that the president’s presence would add significance to the third convocation and make the event more memorable for the university’s students, graduates and faculty members.
