Father, two kids found dead in Jashore

Two kids were found dead and their father was found to have committed suicide in Sharsha upazila of Jashore on Tuesday (September 1).

The tragic incident took place at the residence of Kamal Hossain, 45, in Chotkapota Dakshinpara.

According to the police, Kamal is said to have killed his two children before committing suicide. The kids, five-year-old Sabir and two-and-a-half-year-old Jabir, were apparently staying with their father since their mother had left for her parents' house in Narail around one week ago.

The bodies of the three individuals were recovered from their residence. Initially, the death of the children was believed to be due to strangulation, while the death of Kamal happened after he had taken a poisonous tablet.
