DSCC administrator orders show-cause notices

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Bir Muktijoddha Md Abdus Salam has ordered show-cause notices against officials and employees found absent during a surprise inspection of a regional office on Wednesday.

He inspected the Zone-2 regional office in Khilgaon Tilpapara around 10am and checked the attendance of officials and employees in different sections.

The administrator examined attendance registers and instructed officials to mark absent employees as “absent” in the registers.

He directed Regional Executive Officer Abu Aslam to issue show-cause notices to the absent officials and employees and take necessary action in accordance with the rules.

During the inspection, Abdus Salam also stressed improving the quality of civic services and instructed regional officials and employees to closely monitor waste management and mosquito control activities.
