BNP’s 48th founding anniversary celebrated in China

A discussion meeting was held in China on Tuesday night to mark the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Organised by China BNP, the event took place at a local hotel in Guangzhou.
Senior China BNP leader Sakhawat Hossain Kanan chaired the meeting, while Asif Haque Rupu moderated the programme.
In his address, Kanan said the BNP government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is working relentlessly to fulfil the expectations of the people.
He said the government has already begun implementing its election manifesto. “Within just 15 days of forming the government, the Family Card distribution programme was inaugurated,” he said, adding that the government is implementing its electoral pledges in phases.
Kanan further said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman would govern the country by following the path shown by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Among others, Mahabubur Rashid, Wali Ullah, Md Sakhawat, Hasmat Ali Mridha, Md Masud, Md Apu, Md Rakibul Islam, Md Nadim Ahmed and Mahabub Zaman spoke at the meeting.
The leaders and activists of China BNP were also greeted on the occasion of the party’s founding anniversary.
Sakil Ahmed Shahil and several others joined the meeting virtually.
