Citizens Bank joins BB's agri refinancing scheme

Citizens Bank PLC has signed a Participation Agreement with the Agricultural Credit Department-2 of Bangladesh Bank at its head office in Dhaka under the Tk 3,000 Crore Refinancing Scheme to Support Agriculture and Agro-Based Special Economic Hubs in Northern Bangladesh.”

The agreement was signed by Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC, and A K M Sayduzzaman, Director of the Agricultural Credit Department-2 of Bangladesh Bank, on behalf of their respective organizations, in the presence of Dr. Md. Kabir Ahmed, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, according to a press release.

Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank; Bijoy Chandra Das, Senior Vice President and Head of the SMR and Marketing Division of Citizens Bank PLC; and other senior officials from both institutions attended the agreement-signing ceremony.
