Fire breaks out at Center Point shopping mall

A fire broke out at the food court of Center Point Shopping Mall in the Airport area of the capital on Wednesday afternoon.

No casualties or damage were reported immediately.

The fire broke out around 1:45pm, said Zisanul Haque, additional deputy commissioner of police of the Airport Zone under Uttara Division.

Fire Service Headquarters duty officer Rozina Akter said they received the report in the afternoon and four units rushed to the scene.

The fire was brought under control at around 1:40pm, she said.

No casualties had been reported in the incident, the duty officer added.
