Freight train derails in Mymensingh, rail services suspended

A bogie of a stone-laden freight train derailed in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, on Sunday afternoon, disrupting train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route.
The accident occurred around 5:15 PM in the Golabari area between Kaoraid and Mashakhali railway stations.
Mymensingh Railway Police Station OC Aktar Hossain confirmed the incident.
He said the freight train, which had departed from Dhaka, derailed after reaching Golabari. Train movement on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route was subsequently suspended.
The OC said a relief train would arrive to begin the recovery operation.
