A cocktail exploded at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital on Saturday (September 19) night.
However, details of any casualties or damage caused by the explosion were not immediately available.
Earlier in the evening, four cocktails exploded in front of Samad Super Market near Jatrabari intersection on the incoming lane of the Dhaka-Mawa Highway. A rickshaw puller named Billal was injured in the incident.
Police said unidentified individuals detonated the four cocktails in the area. Billal was initially taken to Jatrabari Police Station and was later scheduled to be transferred to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a passenger bus was set on fire near a traffic police box in Mirpur-1 on Saturday night. Earlier, a bus caught fire in Mirpur-11 at around 7:15pm.
On Friday (September 18), several cocktail explosions were reported in different parts of the capital, including Jatrabari, Moghbazar and Agargaon, from after Friday prayers until late at night. A passenger bus was also set on fire in the Kafrul area of Mirpur that night.
Amid the series of incidents, law enforcement agencies have strengthened security measures across the capital.
