Pezeshkian: Iran will not abandon peaceful nuclear program

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said Tehran will not abandon its peaceful nuclear programme, stressing that Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

He made the remarks while addressing the United Nations General Assembly, where he also called for diplomacy and negotiations to resolve tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities.

Pezeshkian said Iran would not accept pressure aimed at forcing it to give up what Tehran considers its right to peaceful nuclear technology.
