2024 defeated forces trying to create chaos, says Rizvi

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday alleged 2024 defeated forces are trying to create artificial instability across the country.

He said plots to destabilise Bangladesh are being carried out by hired terrorists through telephone calls from a neighbouring country.

The BNP acting SG made the remarks while speaking at a discussion and prayer programme at the National Press Club marking the second death anniversary of former Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) president Ruhul Amin Gazi.

“Instructions are being given by phone from the neighbouring country to plant bombs, take photographs and send the images,” he added. 

Later-on, as the chief guest he spoke at a procession and rally in Gulshan organised by Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal as part of the BNP's centrally announced programme.

Rizvi called for political unity to prevent what he described as the return of fascism. “Without communication and unity, no one will be safe,” he added.
