A Dhaka court on Thursday remanded three people, including Mizanur Rahman, son-in-law of Kushtia-2 MP Abdul Gafur, for three days in a case over an attack, vandalism and looting at a New Gini Properties housing project in the capital.
Metropolitan Magistrate Monirul Islam passed the order after hearing a five-day remand plea by Cantonment Police.
The other accused are Shahriar Mahmud and Md Shah Alam alias Anik.
According to the case statement, around 50 people allegedly entered the project in South Manikdi near ECB Square on September 26, opened fire and attacked employees with machetes, knives and sticks. Several people, including site engineer Md Parvez, were injured.
