Manchester City have given Erling Haaland a few days off to recover from fatigue after his busy international schedule with Norway.
Haaland was substituted in the 67th minute against Portugal in the Nations League after asking to come off. Norway coach Ståle Solbakken later said the decision was planned because the striker was exhausted, rather than due to an injury.
“He was completely exhausted,” Solbakken said.
Haaland has scored five goals in five Premier League appearances for City this season.
