Police recovered the bodies of three women and a man from four separate locations in Savar within around 30 hours, with two of the women identified as garment workers.
Garment worker Akhi Akter, 24, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband during an argument at their Ashulia home on Thursday (October 8) morning. Her husband Zahid Hasan was detained.
Housewife Roksana Begum, 40, was found dead on the rooftop of her five-storey home with multiple sharp-force injuries. Police are investigating possible motives, including an alleged rape attempt and financial disputes.
Earlier, Tariqul, 38, was found hanging from a ceiling fan. His wife said he was addicted to mobile gambling and owed around Tk 2 lakh.
Another garment worker, Tania Khatun, 25, was found dead at a rented house in Kabirpur. Police suspect she was strangled.
