DSE launches month-long cybersecurity awareness programme

Published : Monday, 12 October, 2026 at 12:00 AM
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has launched a month-long cybersecurity awareness programme for the first time, aiming to strengthen cyber resilience among its officials, employees and Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders.

The programme, being conducted throughout October, focuses on raising awareness of online fraud, promoting safe digital practices and encouraging responsible behaviour to protect against cyber threats, said a press release.

As part of the initiative, the DSE has displayed cybersecurity awareness banners and festoons on its premises and introduced awareness-themed desktop wallpapers on employees' computers.

These activities aim to improve participants' ability to identify and respond to suspicious emails, malicious links and potential cyber risks.

The premier bourse has also arranged online cybersecurity awareness training sessions for TREC holders through the Zoom platform. Participants have been divided into different groups to facilitate practical learning on key cybersecurity issues.

An online quiz competition has also been organised for TREC holders to assess and encourage their cybersecurity knowledge. Winners will be selected based on an evaluation of their responses.

The DSE has taken an initiative to recognise TREC holders demonstrating notable performance in cybersecurity awareness activities. Selected top-performing participants will receive recognition and certificates at the exchange's regular 'Meet and Greet' programme."BSS
