Late journo Amir Khusru remembered in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Oct 18: Late journalist Amir Khasru, former country correspondent of Voice of America (VOA), senior staff correspondent of the Daily Sangbad and Ittefaq, editor of the Weekly Budhbar and also contributor to The Bangladesh Observer, was remembered at a mourning meeting held at the Town Club Auditorium on Sunday evening.  

Club Fifty Plus and well-wishers organised the meeting and Doa Mahfil while President of the Club Advocate Ahsanul Kabir Badal chaired the event.

Among others, Public Prosecutor Advocate Abul Kalam Alon, District Convener of Muktijoddaha Sangsad freedom fighter (FF) Ahmed Shahidul Haq Chan, FF Nundida Khaled Robi, family-friend Moniruzzman Nasim, former panel mayor Abdus Salam Baten, journalist Ziaul Ahsan and classmate Mirza Zahirul Haque Sheikh Shahidullah Shahid spoke. Former councillor Mizanur Rahman Khokon conducted the programme. Later, a Doa Mahfil was held.
