Women celebrate 'Sindoor Khela' at Durga puja mandaps

Women joined in 'Sindoor Khela' at Durga Puja mandaps across Narayanganj on Wednesday before bidding farewell to Goddess Durga on the occasion of Bijoya Dashami.

Following tradition, married women applied sindoor to the goddess and to one another, praying for their husbands’ well-being and long lives. They also offered betel leaves, lotus flowers, bel leaves, tulsi leaves and laddus to the goddess before performing their final prayers.
