CHATTOGRAM, Oct 21:- Chattogram Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA) has invited applications for the initial selection of contractors for the design and construction of a sewerage network under the Chattogram Metropolitan Sanitation (CMS) Project in the North Kattali Catchment (NKC).

The deadline for submitting applications is November 11, said CMS Project Director Mohammed Ariful Islam.
Under procurement package No. CMSP-51W2, the selected contractor will be responsible for the design, construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of wastewater networks and associated works in the NKC.

The envelopes must be clearly marked ‘Application for Initial Selection for Design, Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Wastewater Networks and Associated Works for NKC of Chattogram Metropolitan (Package No. CMSP-51W2),’” PD added. CWASA intends to initially select up to six contractors or firms for the work. The selected applicants are expected to be invited to submit bids in December 2026.

The project covers the design and construction of wastewater networks and associated service connections in the northwestern part of Chattogram Metropolitan, along with on-site sanitation facilities for communities that will remain unserved by the sewerage network.

The major components of the contract include:

The contract will have an implementation period of 42 months, comprising 12 months for design and approval and a further 30 months for construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning.
