Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended flights from Dhaka to Dammam on October 23, 24 and 25 and extended the suspension of Dhaka-Riyadh flights until October 31 amid security concerns following an attack at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The airline announced the decisions on Thursday night, citing passenger safety amid the ongoing airstrike situation and the October 21 attack in Dammam.
Biman’s Public Relations Department said revised schedules and further decisions on the suspended flights would be announced in due course.
Flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Madinah will continue as scheduled, the department said.
Passengers travelling to Dammam and Riyadh may use Jeddah and Madinah international airports as alternative routes to travel to Saudi Arabia and return to Bangladesh, subject to seat availability.
Biman has advised affected passengers to contact their nearest sales centre for information on tickets and travel arrangements.
