Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of flights from Dhaka to Dammam and Riyadh until 4 November amid ongoing attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia, citing passenger safety concerns.
In a press release on Sunday, the national flag carrier said the extension would take effect according to Bangladesh time.
Passengers travelling to or returning from Saudi Arabia have been advised to use Jeddah and Medina international airports as alternatives.
To meet passenger demand, Biman has been operating two daily flights on the Dhaka-Jeddah route since 16 October. The service will continue until 4 November.
Regular flights on the Dhaka-Medina route are also operating using Boeing 787 aircraft, according to the press release.
The airline said it would provide further updates on flight schedules and operational decisions in due course.
Passengers seeking ticketing and travel-related information have been advised to contact their nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales centre.
