National Road Safety Day to be observed today

 
National Road Safety Day 2026 will be observed on Wednesday with a discussion meeting at the Roads and Highways Department auditorium at Road Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

The programme will be organised by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) under the theme, “Safe Roads for a Prosperous Nation; Bangladesh Above All.”

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam will attend the event as the chief guest. State Minister Habibur Rashid and other lawmakers will join as special guests.

Dr Mohammad Ziaul Haque, Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, will preside over the meeting.

The programme will begin at 11:00am with a discussion on road safety. Certificates will be presented to drivers recognised for safe driving at 12:40pm.
