CHATTOGRAM, Oct 28: The protesting students of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) returned to classes on Wednesday after a 36-day shutdown over their one-point demand, although attendance remained low and classes did not resume in several departments.
Meanwhile, a six-member advisory committee formed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) visited the CUET campus on Wednesday.
The high-level delegation held separate interactive sessions with key university stakeholders"including teachers, students, officers, and staffers"to resolve a month-long academic deadlock.
The meetings took place at the university’s central auditorium. The primary objective was to gather direct feedback and assess proposals from the campus community to restore normal operations.
