Dengue, measles claim 12 more lives in 24hrs

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has reported that six people were died of dengue while six other died with measles symptoms across the country in the 24 hours from 8am Monday to 8am Tuesday.

During the same period, 1,866 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country while 1,402 people were newly diagnosed with suspected or confirmed measles. 

According to the DGHS dengue-related release on Tuesday, among the six deceased in last 24 hour, four were reported in Dhaka division while two from Barishal division. The number of dengue deaths this year has now reached 445.
