Supplementary examinations for students who failed in up to two subjects in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on December 1. Both regular and irregular candidates will have the opportunity to sit for the examinations.
The decision was announced in a notice issued by the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Wednesday.
According to the notice, students who appeared in the 2026 HSC and equivalent examinations and failed in a maximum of two subjects will be eligible to participate in the supplementary examinations.
The initiative will provide another opportunity for students who failed in one or two subjects to clear their examinations within the current year.
However, the detailed examination schedule has not yet been published. The committee said the respective education boards would announce the examination routine on their official websites at a later date.
Students have been advised to keep an eye on their respective education board websites for updates regarding the examination routine, form-fill-up procedures and other necessary instructions.
