Auto-rickshaw driver found dead in Noakhali

A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver has been found dead in Companiganj upazila of Noakhali.

The deceased, Nur Uddin alias Ful Mia, 26, son of Nur Nabi, was resident of Guchchhagram (cluster) village of Char Fakira union in the upazila.

Companiganj Police Station inspector (investigation) Md Robiul Haque said local people spotted Nur Uddin's body on the bank of a river in the area on Thursday night and informed police.

Police sent the body to the Noakhali General Hospital morgue on Friday noon.

The deceased's one eye was found gauged out and there were several injury marks in his body, the inspector added.

A murder case was filed with Companiganj Police Station by victim's mother accusing pirate gang's leader Julum Badsha.
