Suspected JMB leader arrested in Bogra

A suspected leader of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) was arrested in Nandigram upazila of Bogra district early Saturday.

Arrested Abu Sayed alias Karim alias Talha is the Majlish-e-Sura member of the JMB.

Abu Sayed alias Shyamol is also the chief of JMB southern region, additional superintendent of Bogra Police Sanatan Chakrabarty said, according to UNB reports. 

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Detective Branch of police raided Omarpur area around 1am and nabbed Abu Sayed, the police official added.

A pistol, a magazine, nine bullets, a machete and a motorcycle were recovered from his possession.
