32 jailed in Habiganj murder case

HABIGANJ, Dec 30: Habiganj Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Abdur Rahim sent 32 accused in a case filed over the murder of former Union Parishad (UP) Member Nurul Amin.
On Tuesday last, the accused pleaded for bail to the magistrate at his court, but he denounced their plea and ordered their jail.
As per the case, UP Member Nurul Amin was killed during a clash between two groups over land dispute on December 2 last at Shibpasha Village in Azmiriganj Upazila of the district.
On December 4, the deceased's younger brother Zahanur Mia filed a murder case accusing 70 people.
