3 held over drug abuse

Police have detained three persons over drug abuse from Durgapur upazila of Rajshahi.

The detainees are : Jahid Hasan 14, Joynal 15, and Ashadul Islam 43.

Officer in-charge of Durgapur Police Station Abdul Motaleb said that on secret information about 11pm on Wednesday, the police arrested Jahid, Joynal and Ashadul in a runken stupor at Chowpukuria village of Durgapur municipal area.

They were sent to jail on Thursday noon, OC said.
