2 'Rohingya' women held in Rajshahi

Police on Saturday night detained two Rohingya women from Durgapur upazila in Rajshahi.

The arrested are Parveen Yasmin, 22, and Rumana Islam, 23. They both hail from Balughari area in Cox’s Bazar.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of one Helal Chowdhury at Alipur village in the upazila at night and detained the two woman, said local people.

Durgapur Police Station officer-in-charge Abdul Motaleb Hossain confirmed the matter.
