2 motorcyclists killed in Rajshahi road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed and another one was injured in a road accident in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi on Tuesday afternoon.

One of the deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, 30, hailed from Sadar upazila of Natore.

Locals said a sand-laden truck hit a motorcycle on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in Chhoto Senbag area around 4.30pm, leaving two of its riders dead on the spot and one injured.

The injured was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the accident, Shibpur Highway Police Outpost in-charge Jahidul Islam said police seized the truck, but the driver and his assistant managed to escape.
