A three-year-old girl died due to alleged negligence at Puthia Upazila Health Complex in Rajshahi early Friday.

Deceased Tisha Khatun, 3, was the daughter of Manik, a resident of Palopara village in the upazila.

Family of the deceased claimed Tisha with fever was taken to the health complex. In direction of a physician, an on-duty nurse gave an injection to the child.

A few minutes after the injection was pushed, the child became unconscious and died.

Puthia Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Sakil Uddin Ahmed said relatives began aggressive behaviour with on-duty doctor of the health complex over death of the child.

Police, later, went to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Police are looking into matter, said OC Sakil, adding no one, so far, filed any case over the death.
