Police arrested two local leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Binodpur area of Rajshahi city on Wednesday.
Arrested Sheikh Shihab Uddin Anik, 23, is the organizing secretary of Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute unit BCL, and Nur Islam Abhi, a student of honors second year at Barendra College.
Police stopped them while going to the city by motorcycle at a police check post in front of Old RAB Office in Binodpur area.
On suspicion, later, police searched their body and found 840 pieces of Yaba tablets, said Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, officer in-charge of Motihar Police Station.
A case was filed against them under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
Later, they were sent to jail following a court order.
