Some 13 women and six children have been tortured in Rajshahi district in last July.
Research, Documentation and Publication unit of 'Association for Community Development' (ACD), a Rajshahi based non-government development and human rights organization, disclosed this at a press release.
The organization made the findings based on local and national newspapers and its information.
According to the report, mentionable torture incidents are woman hacked dead in Puthia on July 2, house wife's mysterious death in Godagari on July 7, woman aborted due to torture on 17 July in Durgapur, rape attempt on three-year-old year child in Durgapur on July 27, girl's hanging body at the Nursing College hostel in Rajshahi City, and woman torture for dowry on July 30.
Among 13 women torture, six have happened under police stations of Rajshahi city while seven others outside the city. Of the incidents, two are murders, three murder attempts, three mysterious deaths, two suicides, one attempt to commit suicide, one missing and one sexual assault, the reports reads.
All six children torture have occurred in the city. Of them, one rape attempt, two kidnappings, one attempt to commit suicide, one missing, and one other incident, said the report.
