Apprentice lawyer ‘commits suicide’

Police recovered the hanging body of an apprentice lawyer from his house in Bilsimla area of Rajshahi city on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Mozammel Haque, 62 and he was an apprentice lawyer in Natore Court.

Quoting his family members, Rajpara Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Shahadat Hossain said Mozammel locked the door from inside over family feud in the evening.

Getting no response from inside, his wife, also a teacher of Rajshahi College, informed police.

Later, police broke open the door and recovered his body hanging from the ceiling fan.

The body was handed over to the family early Saturday after autopsy, the OC added.
