Youth 'killed by brother'

A young man has allegedly killed by his elder brother in Shekher Chak area of Rajshahi city.

Deceased Ashraful Islam, 35, was the son of Sanwar Hossain.

Boalia Police Station officer in-charge Nibaran Chandra Barman said Ashraful and his brother Nur Alam, 42, locked into an altercation over land dispute on Sunday night. At one stage of quarrel, Nur hit Ashraful on his head with a stick, leaving him critically injured.

Ashrful was immediately rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where he died on Monday morning.

Police, however, detained Nur Alam in this connection.
