Youth 'commits suicide'

A young man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in  Kayerdara Bilpara area of Rajshahi city on Tuesday.

Deceased Toufique, 26, was son of Mohammad Ali, a resident of the same area.

Quoting locals, additional deputy commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Golam Ruhul Quddus said Toufique had been at loggerheads with his wife over family issues.

Following an altercation on Tuesday, his father-in-law came to the house and took his daughter to his home.

Later, family members entered the house and found Toufique hanging from the ceiling.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue, the police official added.
