
Bangladesh will participate in a three-match T20i series against the USA prior to the upcoming T20 World Cup. The USA Cricket (USAC) announced on Thursday the schedule for the first-ever bilateral series between Bangladesh and the USA.
The matches are scheduled for May 21, 23, and 25, respectively and will all take place at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) in Houston, Texas.
The lineup of matches for the mens national team was confirmed after successful discussions between USAC, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the ICC, as confirmed by a USAC media release. Prior to hosting Bangladesh, the USA will also host Canada for a five-match T20i series.
Mr. Venu Pisike, Chairman of USA Cricket stated, "These games will be crucial for our teams preparation ahead of the Mens T20 World Cup. They will help us finalize our working combinations, build team cohesion, and fine-tune our strategies. I would like to extend my gratitude to the ICC, Cricket Canada, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board for their full support in scheduling these matches."
Expressing gratitude to USAC for its support, Mr. Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board said, "The upcoming tour of the USA by the Bangladesh Team marks a historic occasion in the realm of cricket. This T20 series represents a significant opportunity for the cricketers of both nations to showcase their talent and passion for the sport."
"For the Bangladesh Team, this tour provides an ideal opportunity to acclimate to the conditions ahead of the ICC Mens T20 World Cup 2024. We understand the importance of this preparatory phase and are committed to making the most of this invaluable experience," he added.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be held between June 2 and June 29, with West Indies and USA serving as joint hosts for the event.
