Ex-BNP leader Ariful Islam's agent jailed for 6-month

An agent was detained with knife at a polling centre in Sunamganj and was jailed for six months.

Judicial Magistrate Halim Uddin detained agent Mashuk Miah from Doarabazar Government Model High School centre on Wednesday during the voting and gave him the jail terms for bearing a machete.

Mashuk is the agent of Ariful Islam Jewel, who was expelled from BNP.

It was learnt that Mashuk entered the centre with the knife around 9:30am. At that time judicial magistrate Halim detained him from the scene and sentenced him to jail for six months.
