Vanu Lal Roy re-elected as Sreemangal upazila chairman

Vanu Lal Roy was re-elected as the chairman of Sreemangal upazila in Sylhet with securing 42, 669 votes in the third phase of sixth upazila parishad elections on Wednesday.

On the other hand, freedom fighter Md Askar Miah, main rival candidate of Vanu Lal Roy, got 36,876 votes while another candidate Sagor Hazra secured 31,34 votes.

Meanwhile, Razu Deb Riton and Hazara Khatun have been elected as the upazila vice-chairman and female vice-chairman respectively. 
The results were announced by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Sreemangal, on Wednesday night.
