Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) signed a memorandum of understanding on 'Joint venture research program, student mentoring and knowledge sharing' with Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) at the university on Thursday.
CUET Vice-Chancellor Dr Md Rafiqul Alam was present as the chief guest conducted by Dr GM Sadiqul Islam of Civil Engineering Department and Head of Department of Water Resources Strategy.
The university's registrar (Additional Duty) Prof Dr Sheikh Md. Humayun Kabir signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of the univrsity.
In the speech of the chief guest, Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Alam said, ''As a result of this type of agreement with LGED, our students will get to know about the practical work of the institution from the classroom. Besides, I think it will make their future path more smooth.''
