Indonesia is playing the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi for the third time in 2024. Although it never got the chance to move to the semifinals, the team was gradually doing well in the game and considered the experience gathered from the prestigious Kabaddi tournament invaluable for the betterment of the sport.

In an interview with the Daily Observer, Tommy Gunarto Lowito, the Assistant Manager and International Relations Officer of Indonesia Kabaddi Federation shared his thoughts on the fourth edition of BangabandhuCup International Kabaddi Tournament.

He was excited about the impressive arrangement and huge spectators. He also talked about Indonesian Kabaddi and their plans.

"It is Amazing! Just Amazing!" Thats what the Indonesian Kabaddi official said about the ongoing Bangabandhu Cup 2024 International Kabaddi Tournament.

While responding to the question regarding what were the things he liked most about the tournament, he said, "It was inspiring to see the galleries full of spectators here.

I have seen them supporting their favourite teams from every corner with such enthusiasm and I have not seen that anywhere else in the world.

This is not my first time in Bangladesh and hopefully, I will come again in the future for this incredible audience. I love touring Bangladesh!"

Unfortunately, Indonesia narrowly missed the chance to play in the semifinals, finishing third in Group-A. However, the Indonesia Assistant Manager was hopeful of doing better in 2025. He said they would work hard for the next time.

About Indonesian Kabaddi he briefed, "All the activities of Kabaddi in the country are conducted through the Indonesian Kabaddi Federation. We are gradually getting better at Kabaddi. Numerous strategies have been developed and are being progressively put into action to promote Kabaddi at home."

He stated, "We have extensive plans for Indonesian Kabaddi. We are here for the third time, and we will strive to put our expertise from playing this competition and observing others to good use."

Indonesia will compete in an international Kabaddi event in Bali in mid-June. It will be attended by ASEAN or Southeast Asian countries.

He said, "The experience we gained in Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi, we will apply it in Bali. We will also participate in many more Kabaddi tournaments this year."
