Dear Sir,
The air becomes heavy with the arrival of winter. One of the main reasons behind this is black carbon, which creates a dangerous cycle in winter. Black carbon is mainly produced by diesel-powered vehicles, brick kilns, generators and the burning of waste in open spaces.
In winter, there is less rain and the wind speed also slows down a lot. As a result, this pollution does not get a chance to wash away or spread. As a result, the concentration of black carbon in the air increases rapidly.
Dhaka has already risen to second place on the global air pollution index. If this dangerous cycle of black carbon is not broken, the situation is likely to become even more severe.
