Youth stabbed to death in capital’s Hazaribagh

A youth was stabbed to death allegedly by unidentified assailants in Jhauchhar area under Hazaribagh Police Station in the capital early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Md Shipon, 24, son of Md Shah Alam, a resident of local Boro Mosque area.

According to police, a group of assailants hacked him with sharp weapons and left him critically injured.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and found the youth lying in a pool of blood in an alley and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Confirming the incident, Hazaribagh Police Station sub-inspector Suman Chandra Shil said that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy and efforts were underway to identify those involved in this incident.
