
Two-day long, 17th National Butthan Co-Competition 2025 ended on 30th December at Rajshahi Indoor Sports Complex, Terokhadia at the Rajshahi Metropolitan city. The National Competition concluded with prize distribution and colourful ceremony.
Butthan Practitioners from 22 districts participated in this two-day long competition. 118 participants, 7 amperes and 3 referees and 12 officials carried out the National Butthan Co-Competition. It was held in 7 different weights divisions.
The program encompasses free hand combat events along with Butthan weapons forms and lathi khela. Different categories of Weight Class are: Weight-(Light), Weight (38+), Weight-(48+), Weight-(58+), Weight-(68+), Weight-(78+), Women.
The superhuman as seen on Discovery Channel, world record holder and internationally acclaimed Grand Master Siddhacharya Yuree Vajramunee was present in this two-day long national Butthan Co-Competition. Yuree is known for his inspirational Vajrapran Meditation and Janaism philosophy. In the inauguration ceremony Butthan theme song was played and divisional chief Instructor AKM Kalam Liton (Black Belt 5th Degree) read out a welcome note on behalf of Major General Quamruzzaman (retd), President Bangladesh Butthan Federation. Mostafizur Rahman, Ph.D., Director of the Varendra Research Museum was present as the chief guest and handed over medals among the winners of the co-competition.
