Man stabbed dead in Narsingdi

A man was stabbed to death by some unidentified assailants in Palash upazila of Narsingdi district on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Moni Chakraborty, 40, son of late Madan Thakur of nighboring Shibpur upazila’s Sadharchar union, currently residing at Sultanpur village in Char Sindur union in the upazila. He was a grocery owner by profession.

According to sources, Moni was returning home on his motorcycle when the attackers stabbed him near his house with a sharp weapon around 9 PM, leaving him critically injured.

Later, locals rushed him to Palash Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Palash Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Shahed Al Mamun confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to Narsingdi Generl Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
