The final results of the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU) and Hall Students' Union elections have been officially announced, with candidates from Jamaat’s student wing Shibir-supported panel, "Adomyo Jobian Oikko," winning the majority of positions in both the central and hall unions.

The results were declared on Thursday through a notification signed by Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr Mostafa Hasan and other election commissioners. Voting took place on Tuesday, followed by counting that continued overnight on Wednesday.

In the central union, Shibir-backed Md Riazul Islam was elected Vice President with 5,558 votes, defeating AKM Rakib of Chhatra Dal, who received 4,688 votes. Abdul Alim Arif, also supported by Shibir, won the General Secretary post with 5,475 votes, while Masud Rana secured the position of Assistant General Secretary with 5,020 votes. Out of twelve secretary posts in the central union, Shibir candidates won nine key positions, including Liberation War and Democracy Secretary, Education and Research Secretary, Science and Technology Secretary, Law and Human Rights Secretary, International Affairs Secretary, Literature and Culture Secretary, Sports Secretary, Transport Secretary, and Library and Seminar Secretary. Chhatra Dal candidates won three secretary posts. In the central executive member elections, seven candidates were elected, including five from Shibir, one from Chhatra Dal, and one independent candidate.

In the university's only female students' hall union, the Shibir-backed panel achieved a clean sweep of the top three posts. Mosammat Jannatul Ummi Tarin was elected Vice President with 550 votes, Sumaiya Tabassum won the General Secretary post with 571 votes, and Redowana Khawla secured the position of Assistant General Secretary with 545 votes. Shibir candidates also dominated the hall union's secretary positions, with Sadia Afroze elected Literature and Publication Secretary, Fatema Tuj Johra (Imu) winning the Culture Secretary post, Fatema Tuj Johra Samia becoming Library Secretary, Sabikun Nahar elected Sports Secretary, Farzana Akhter winning Social Welfare and Student Affairs Secretary, and Khadija Khatun elected Health and Environment Secretary. The executive member posts in the hall union were claimed by Sabrina Akhter, Naoshin Binte Alam, Mosammat Sayma Khatun, and Laskar Rubaiyat Jahan.

The election results reflect a strong performance by the Shibir-supported panel, consolidating its influence in both central and hall student governance at Jagannath University.
