The deceased brothers have been identified as Jabbar Molla, 15, and Mocha Molla, 30, were sons of Shaifar Molla of Bilsorail village in Moyna union. The third victim was a female worker, whose identity has not yet been confirmed.

According to police, about 12 workers from Dobra Janata Jute Mill were returning home in the pickup van after work. As the vehicle attempted to cross the railway at Sotashi around 2:30 PM, a Bhatiapara-bound train from Kalukhali station collided with it.

The collision crushed the van and hurled it alongside the railway tracks. Jabbar and Mocha Molla died on the spot, while the injured female worker succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Locals immediately rushed the injured to Boalmari Upazila Health Complex. Several critically wounded workers were later transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, with some still in serious condition.

Boalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Anwar Hossain said, “Police arrived promptly at the scene to control the situation. Three people have died and at least 15 others were injured. Necessary medical care has been provided, and the railway police have been informed. Legal procedures are underway.”
