
FENI, Jan 23: Candidates of BNP, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, AB Party and several other political parties began electioneering across Feni's three constituencies on Wednesday morning, ahead of the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.
Formal campaigning got underway in the district on the first day, with candidates distributing leaflets among voters and seeking support for their respective electoral symbols.
In Feni-2 constituency, AB Party candidate Rahman Manju officially launched his election campaign through Doa and Munajat.
At around 11 am, AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju started his campaign on the premises of the Central Boro Jam-e-Mosque in Feni by offering prayers and Munajat. He later distributed leaflets among voters and was seen campaigning in favour of the 'yes' vote.
A total of 26 candidates are contesting the elections in Feni's three seats this time. Of them, seven are running in Feni-1, eleven in Feni-2 and eight in Feni-3.
